Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
STS2 Calculator (the "Site") is an independent, fan-made website for Slay the Spire 2 calculators, planners, and reference content. This policy explains what information may be collected when you use the Site, how it is used, who it may be shared with, and the choices and rights you have.
The Site is unofficial and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mega Crit Games or the developers, publisher, or distributors of Slay the Spire 2. All game names, artwork, and related assets remain the property of their respective rights holders.
The Site does not offer account registration, login, paid subscriptions, or direct checkout. We do not intentionally request precise device location, government ID numbers, or payment card details. For any privacy question, you can reach the operator at shwuhen@gmail.com.
1. What loads automatically
Google Analytics
The production build loads Google Analytics 4 from www.googletagmanager.com using measurement ID G-407L20DJR3, unless a deployment explicitly disables analytics. When enabled, Google may receive page views, referrers, browser or device information, approximate location, and similar measurement data through cookies or comparable identifiers.
Google AdSense and third-party advertising
The Site uses Google AdSense on selected pages to display advertising. When an ad slot is active, Google and its advertising partners may place and read cookies in your browser, and may use web beacons, pixel tags, IP addresses, and device or browser identifiers to serve, personalize, and measure advertisements.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this Site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices.
For more information about how Google uses data when you use our site, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Browser storage
The Site stores limited local data in your browser, including checklist progress, calculator inputs, puzzle state, and similar convenience data. That information is generally kept in browser storage on your device rather than in a Site account system.
For a detailed breakdown of the specific cookies and storage used and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.
2. Ratings and feedback
Some pages display a small corrections or feedback prompt that points users to the contact page or email address. That prompt is local Site UI and does not submit per-page ratings or free-text comments to a third-party rating service.
If a page does not show a form, the Site is not silently collecting page-by-page written feedback through that UI element.
3. Direct contact
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message. We use that information only to respond, handle corrections, review rights claims, or keep an administrative record of the conversation.
Copyright, trademark, attribution, and takedown requests should follow the guidance on the Rights / Copyright / DMCA page so the request contains enough detail to review.
4. How information is used
- operate, secure, and improve the Site and its calculators;
- measure audience usage and understand which pages and tools are used when analytics is enabled for the deployment;
- serve and measure advertising on specifically eligible pages when ad loading is enabled and an ad component is mounted;
- protect the Site from abuse, malicious traffic, and legal claims;
- respond to questions, bug reports, rights claims, and correction requests.
5. Sharing and third parties
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help run the Site, including Google Analytics when analytics is enabled and Google AdSense when a live page loads an ad slot. Information may also be disclosed if required by law or to protect the Site from abuse or legal claims.
6. Your choices
- You may block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings.
- If ads are active on a page, you can manage ad personalization through Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com.
- You can review how Google uses information from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- The Site does not provide an account-level privacy dashboard because it does not run user accounts.
- To ask about emails or other information that we directly control, contact shwuhen@gmail.com.
7. Retention
How long information is kept depends on its type:
- Browser storage (checklist progress, calculator inputs, puzzle state): remains on your device until you clear it or your browser removes it. It is never uploaded to a Site account.
- Email correspondence and administrative records: kept for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, resolve disputes, and maintain the Site.
- Analytics data: retained by Google Analytics according to its configured retention period (up to 14 months by default) when analytics is enabled.
- Advertising data: retained by Google and its advertising partners according to their own policies.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over personal information that we directly control:
- Access — request a copy of the information we hold about you;
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- Erasure — ask us to delete information we control (the "right to be forgotten");
- Objection and restriction — object to or ask us to limit certain processing;
- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for analytics or advertising cookies at any time through your browser or the linked opt-out tools;
- Do not sell or share — we do not sell personal information; where applicable law provides a right to opt out of "sharing" for advertising, you can exercise it through the Google ad-personalization controls linked above.
Because the Site has no accounts, most information stays on your own device and is within your direct control. For information we hold directly (such as email correspondence), contact shwuhen@gmail.com and we will review the request. Much of the data collected by analytics and advertising partners is controlled by those third parties under their own policies; you can also exercise rights directly with them.
9. International transfers
The third-party services the Site relies on, including Google Analytics and Google AdSense, are operated by providers that may process data on servers located in the United States or other countries. Where information is transferred internationally, those providers rely on their own safeguards and legal transfer mechanisms as described in their respective privacy policies.
10. Children
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us directly, contact us and we will review and delete it as appropriate.
11. Complaints
If you are in a jurisdiction with a data protection or privacy authority and you are not satisfied with our response to a concern, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We ask that you contact us first at shwuhen@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site, legal requirements, or advertising and analytics tools. Significant changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
