Patch Guide

Slay the Spire 2 V103.2 Event Changes

V103.2 trims several event prices, lowers the Fragrant Mushroom upside, removes Tunneling Twosome from the Hive normal pool, and stops the Wongo featured slot from pretending a gold relic is a special offer.

The clean read is that the patch makes a few event clicks more disciplined. Waterlogged Scriptorium gets cheaper, Whispering Hollow asks for less gold on average, Hungry for Mushrooms gives less upgrade volume, and one stale Hive encounter quietly disappears.

Core Judgment

The useful update is not “some events changed.” The useful update is which event clicks now ask for less gold, give back less power, or disappear from the pool entirely.

These are not decorative event edits. They change whether specific clicks are efficient right now.

Waterlogged Scriptorium stops overcharging its Steady lines, Whispering Hollow asks for less gold, and Fragrant Mushroom gives up one random upgrade.

The rest is quality control: one outdated Hive encounter leaves the pool, and Wongo's featured slot no longer advertises a relic that mostly refunds itself.

Economy And Reward Edits

These are the event changes that alter the click directly. Read them top to bottom and stop pricing the rooms with older numbers.

Hungry for Mushrooms event artwork
Upgrade volume cut

Hungry for Mushrooms

Before

Fragrant Mushroom upgraded 3 random cards after the pickup damage.

Now

Fragrant Mushroom now upgrades 2 random cards after the pickup damage.

This is a real hit to the greed line. The relic still buys two upgrades, but it no longer gives the sort of oversized upgrade burst that justified sloppier HP spending.

Waterlogged Scriptorium event artwork
Price drop

Waterlogged Scriptorium

Before

Tentacle Quill cost 65 Gold and Prickly Sponge cost 155 Gold.

Now

Tentacle Quill now costs 55 Gold, while Prickly Sponge now costs 99 Gold.

That is a serious correction, especially on Prickly Sponge. The event now competes like a real mid-run deck polish stop instead of pricing its best line like a bad shop relic.

Whispering Hollow event artwork
Exchange cheaper

Whispering Hollow

Before

Exchange Gold asked for 50 Gold.

Now

Exchange Gold now rolls from 26 to 44 Gold, centered on 35.

The potion line is still a variance trade, but the average price is much saner. You no longer need a swollen wallet just to justify buying two random bottles.

Pool And Showcase Cleanup

These lines matter because they stop old junk from leaking into route reads and event expectations.

Welcome to Wongo's

Before

The featured relic slot could land on gold-producing relics and call that a premium showcase.

Now

Gold-producing relics no longer appear in the featured relic slot.

That makes the featured offer read cleaner. A highlighted purchase should sell a real effect, not a relic whose main joke is paying part of the bill back.

Hive encounter pool
Encounter removed

Hive encounter pool

Before

Hive normal encounters could still roll Tunneling Twosome.

Now

Tunneling Twosome is no longer in the Hive normal encounter pool.

This is a small but worthwhile cleanup. If a room is retired, route-facing pages should stop pretending the room can still show up.

What This Means In Real Runs

Patch pages matter only if they change real pathing, spending, or event-click judgment. These are the three updates that do.

Waterlogged Scriptorium is no longer priced like a trap

At 55 and 99 Gold, the Steady lines move back into the range where they can compete with a real shop visit instead of losing on price before you even compare reward quality.

Whispering Hollow becomes easier to click on leaner runs

The lower exchange average means more Act 2 profiles can justify two random potions without gutting the rest of the route economy.

Fragrant Mushroom is still good, just less ridiculous

Losing the third random upgrade matters most when the deck still has a thick queue of premium targets. Two upgrades is still solid. It is simply not the old blowout line anymore.
