V105 Patch Read

Slay the Spire 2 V105 Patch Notes

May 7 and May 8 changed the current Act 3 boss read, added Wither pressure, refreshed Ancient relic planning, and tightened several card and enchantment numbers.

This page keeps the update practical. Use it to see what changed, which pages now carry the current values, and where to go next when the question turns into exact HP, Doom, relic, or event math.

May 7 and May 8 at a glance

Read this in order. The boss update changes fight planning first; the second pass changes what you expect from relic, event, enchantment, and card pages.

Boss read and hand timer update

The current Glory boss planning now points at Aeonglass. The fight opens with Withering Presence on the player and Artifact 3 on the boss, then moves through Ebb, Eye Lasers, and Increasing Intensity in order.

  • Aeonglass uses 512 HP on the base band and 535 HP on the tougher band.
  • Withering Presence adds a Wither after every fourth non-Status card you play.
  • Ebb hits for 26 or 32 and applies Ebb 3 for the turn.
  • Eye Lasers is 11x2 or 12x2 damage.
  • Increasing Intensity adds 33 Block and Strength before the loop starts again.

Pool, event, and value cleanup

The second pass is mostly about current run planning: new Ancient relics, event choice gates, Inky value, and targeted card number changes that matter when a deck is close to its breakpoint.

  • Fishing Rod, Kaleidoscope, and Silken Tress are now tracked in the relic database and route tools.
  • Neow and Ancient planning pages now account for the new relic picks.
  • Event notes include the current potion trade, Lantern Key, co-op HP, and timed-fight checks.
  • Inky now adds 1 damage and still applies 1 Weak.
  • Several card pages now carry the current V105 values and upgrade comparisons.

Boss Package

Aeonglass changes the Act 3 read

The current fight is not a loose damage race. Count the non-Status card timer, clear Artifact before relying on debuffs, and plan for the Strength loop.

Wither card artwork
Status

Wither

At the end of your turn, if this is in your Hand, take 2 damage.

Wither is the hand tax to count. It has Retain and Exhaust, and it deals 2 damage if it stays in hand at end of turn.

Buff

Withering Presence

Every 4 non-Status cards you play, add a Wither to your Hand.

The counter only advances from non-Status cards, so cheap filler still matters when it lands on the fourth play.

Debuff

Ebb

Lose 3 Strength and 3 Dexterity this turn.

Ebb is a damage turn and a stat-loss turn. Decks that block through Dexterity need to respect both halves.

Ancient Relics

New route-shaping pickups

These picks matter because they change reward timing, upgrade timing, or card reward quality. Check the relic page when the map decides whether the upside is live.

Card Values

Cards that changed enough to re-check

These are the card pages worth opening after the patch. The list is intentionally compact because the useful job is to send you to the exact record.

Events and Enchantments

Small numbers, real decisions

The patch also changes event availability reads and enchantment math. These are not flashy, but they decide whether a choice is playable in the current run.

Inky

This card deals 1 additional damage and applies 1 Weak.

Use +1 damage for Inky damage math. Blade of Ink planning should not use the older +2 assumption.

Lantern Key

War Historian, Repy

Solo runs with a spare Lantern Key can continue into the second reward after the first unlock. Multiplayer runs consume the available keys at the first choice.

The calculator keeps both opening choices visible and flags the second-reward line as a solo spare-key case.

Potion Trade

The Future of Potions?

This event requires at least 2 carried potions and converts one potion into an upgraded same-rarity card choice.

The calculator now blocks the trade when your profile enters fewer than 2 carried potions.

Co-op Gate

Dense Vegetation

In co-op, this event is skipped when any teammate is at 8 HP or lower.

The calculator marks Dense Vegetation lines unavailable when the team profile fails that HP gate.

Card Pool

Infested Automaton

Study now pulls a random Power from your current character pool only.

The Power reward is less swingy than before because off-character Power hits are removed from the pool.

FAQ

Common patch questions

Which page should I use for Aeonglass planning?

Use the Aeonglass Boss Guide for the move loop and Wither timing. Use Boss & Elite HP Lookup for HP totals and co-op scaling.

What changed about Inky?

Inky now adds 1 damage and applies 1 Weak. The enchantment calculator and reference page should use that value.

Are Fishing Rod, Kaleidoscope, and Silken Tress normal relic picks?

They are Ancient relics, so treat them as route-shaping event picks rather than ordinary shop-style pickups.

Does Wither belong in character card pools?

No. Wither is a Status card and should be read as boss pressure, not as a character draft card.
